Meet our Team, learn a little bit about us and why we decided to come up with The Penguin
Nick
Raised in Quinte West, Ontario, Nick took a lot of influence from music throughout his life, and consistently attends local events to spectate other guitar players. After himself, travelling around with multiple guitars for a few years, he began thinking of ways to solve his problem with dust always being so visible on his LP. Then after a few tries with bad plastic covers, began designing a good cover that would keep his guitars from accumulating dust constantly.
In doing so, he teamed with Ron, to start a name selling this exact creation. We keep the goal to design further small improvements to the experience of guitar players and NEVER see another SH*T plastic bag cover on a guitar anymore.
Ron
The wisdom backing our team. Having been a performing musician for most of his life, Ron has developed a massive foundation of experience to base our development upon. Also born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Ron grew up learning guitar and the music culture in the 60's & 70's, and he has time performing as part of many bands throughout his career. Even performing rock concerts on various Canadian military bases during his time serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.
He had specific ideas for a new kind of cover style for his guitars, and with the pushing designing force of Nick, they were able to soon assemble a prototype upon which to build the Penguin name.
